EquaBuy™ was founded by Janet Edwards, a procurement executive and subject matter expert on indirect purchasing with more than ten years of experience.Immediately prior  to founding EquaBuy™, Ms. Edwards was the head of procurement for HealthMarkets, a health insurance company and a member of The Blackstone Group’s portfolio.
Experience prior to joining HealthMarkets includes: Managing Consultant for Deloitte’s Outsourcing Advisory Services, Supply Chain Management Consultant for Electronic Data Systems (now part of Hewlett-Packard) and Director of Strategic Sourcing Services for Sabre Holdings.
Janet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from LeTourneau University, is a member of the ISM-Dallas CPO Advisory Board, has been a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) since 1997, was one of the first to obtain the designation of Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) in 2007 from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), is an approved instructor for the ISM CPSM Exam Review courses and is also Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through APICS, The Association for Operations Management. |
